McGucken's Metamorphosis

You will be shown a set of 7 letters. Each of these letters can be one of three different possibilities. Clicking on one of the people below the word (8 people, plus the Fool himself who has no effect when clicked) will shift some of the letters forward to different possibilities. If shifted beyond the third possibility, they will revert back to the first. The objective is to make a single word. After making the first word, you will be asked to make a second word.

The word can be determined by a simple pattern from the above. In fact this pattern works on all the metamorphoses I’ve done so far.. Some help can come from Voorst's Vendition, if you have found enough other words. After you have the word, take the matrix below and transpose it, then augment it with the number of moves to cycle the letter to the correct position. Then row reduce the matrix using mod 3 arithmetic to get the number of moves needed for each person.
